Internet Explorer 8

How did it come to this, look what your neighbor is using and if it works I do it as well?

Maybe that´s the way Internet Explorer 8 has come to change so much, starting with tab browsing with the IE 7 and now there we go we have add ons, well let me say I congratulate them as they finally have reached to understand what the market (users) are demanding on a actual Explorer.

Of course this is just a ” copy ” of what Firefox is using since…. better not get to that would look funny how long it took to wake up for IE but finally they did I guess this is also a result of the falling market share to bellow 69% and Firefox climbing to 21% (read more about it at TG Daily) but as many people still use this browser system I do feel happy for them and hope with the time they will realize which one is better for their needs.

But from my side, congratulations guys!

Messenger & Co

Posted by admin on

Since the last years I have been trying and testing sometimes for good others for bad (happy me I never got a virus through) a variety of instant messaging applications, starting of course with the never ending Windows Messenger to Yahoo Messenger, ICQ and of course AOL etc…

Happy us many open source developers decided to work on this matter creating instant messaging programs which where at the beginning a litter poor and less modern or glamorous like others just offering a basic application with no smiley’s or other presentations. Well, time has passed and Internet got bigger, millions of users added and shared their ideas and increased knowledge for everyone, that´s one of the reasons for this huge offer in open source software.

Guess that´s one of the reasons Windows ” Live ” Messenger accepts now every account, or gives you the opportunity to get a passport account so friends can ad you even if you have your own domain name like me ;)

Instant Messaging Programs (from most popular to less)

Windows Live Messenger
Skype (Phonecalls and messaging)
Yahoo Messenger
Twiter (online blogging)
Google Talk (Gmail chat)
Pidgin
AOL instant Messenger
XFire Gaming Simplified
Digsby (Allows you to connect several accounts + facebook and twitter)

etc…. for a complete list look here.
